Andy Martinez

Andy is the founder of Crypto Insights Group, an institutional alternatives data and intelligence platform focused on digital asset hedge funds, SMAs, and emerging onchain investment vehicles. The firm works with some of the largest institutional allocators and financial institutions globally to support diligence, benchmarking, and ongoing manager monitoring. The platform is designed to bring greater standardization, transparency, and rigor to how allocators evaluate managers, spanning performance analysis, operational due diligence, and strategy-level insight.

Andy has spent over a decade on the buyside. Most recently, he served as a portfolio manager at a large hedge fund leading liquid venture strategies. Prior to that, he worked at a crypto fund-of-funds, where he conducted diligence on hundreds of hedge funds. Through this experience, he developed a firsthand understanding of the structural fragmentation between institutional allocators and digital-asset managers, which ultimately led to the formation of Crypto Insights Group.

Andy began his career as an equity investor, progressing to partner level while investing across more than 30 frontier markets. He holds the CFA designation and earned a B.S. in Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
