Frank Mong is the Chief Operating Officer at Helium Inc, where he has led the company’s sales, marketing, and business development efforts for over eight years. As a founding member, Mong was instrumental in building the Helium Network. This open-source wireless infrastructure grew to nearly one million Hotspots globally at its peak, creating the world’s largest decentralized wireless network powered by the people. Recently, Mong helped launch Helium Mobile, a groundbreaking cellular service that integrates Helium’s decentralized network with traditional carriers to deliver more affordable, innovative wireless solutions. Helium Mobile is a significant step toward expanding the utility of the Helium Network and further establishing Helium as the leader in DePIN, a decentralized physical infrastructure network. Before joining Helium, Mong spent 25 years in various leadership roles in the cybersecurity industry, including Palo Alto Networks, Symantec, and HP Security. Mong holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
