Krisztian Sandor is a markets reporter for CoinDesk. He focuses on stablecoins, real-world assets (RWA), tokenization and how traditional financial firms are increasingly turn to blockchain rails and decentralized finance (DeFi) as part of their operations. Since joining CoinDesk in 2022, he has unpacked DeFi credit blowups, unsecured loan defaults, and souring onchain loans to show where risk really sits in digital-asset markets. More recently, his reporting has followed the rise of bonds, funds, real estate moving onchain and becoming more integrated into the crypto economy. Originally from Hungary, he graduated from the New York University's business and economic reporting program as a Fulbright fellow and holds degrees in energy engineering and international economics.
