Hsiao-Wei Wang serves as a Co-Executive Director and board member at the Ethereum Foundation. She has a deep technical background in distributed systems and consensus mechanisms, and joined the Foundation in mid-2017 as an L1 researcher. Her prior focus was Ethereum’s Layer-1 R&D, where she was a contributor to the Beacon Chain and the network’s transition from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake, The Merge, Shapella and Dencun, among other major upgrades.
